Start at the top of the toy and work your way down, being careful not to Vacuum too hard, or you could damage the toy. Once you’re finished, use a lint roller to remove any remaining debris.

Washing Your Plush Toy by Hand

Fill the sink or basin with lukewarm water and mild detergent. Gently swish the toy around, then rinse it thoroughly. Squeeze the water out of the toy and wrap it in a clean, dry towel, then lay the toy on a flat surface and pat it dry with a towel.

If your plush toy is large, you can spot-clean it with a damp cloth. Be sure to rinse the cloth frequently and wring it out well. Wipe the toy in the direction of the fur and avoid scrubbing.

When you’re not busy cuddling with your plush toy, you need to make sure you’re storing it properly so it will stay in good condition. Find a good, dry spot for it. A closed closet or a storage bin works well.

You also want to make sure your plush toy is not exposed to sunlight or excessive heat, as this can cause the colors to fade. And avoid storing in a plastic bag, as this can trap moisture and cause the toy to mold or mildew.
