Introduction
ASG recovers recently recovered data from a failed RAID array for one of our clients. Here’s a quick overview of how we were able to do it.
What is a RAID Array
A RAID Array is a collection of hard disk drives that are combined to store data.
ASG has extensive experience in recovering data from failed RAID arrays. We have the tools and expertise necessary to get your data back quickly and safely. Contact us today to learn more about our RAID recovery services.
What are the different types of RAID Arrays
There are four different types of RAID arrays:
1. RAID 1 – This type of array mirrors data across multiple disks. It offers excellent performance and data availability but is more expensive than other array types due to the need for duplicate disks.
2. RAID 5 – This type of array stripes data across multiple disks with parity information spread evenly across all disks. It offers good performance and data availability while providing some redundancy in the event of a disk failure.
3. RAID 10 – This type of array combines features of both RAID 0 and RAID 1, striping data across multiple disks while also mirroring that data onto duplicate disks. It offers excellent performance anddata availability but is very expensive due to the need for both striped and mirrored disks.
Why do RAID Arrays fail
There are many reasons why a RAID array may fail, but the most common cause is hardware failure. This can be due to a variety of factors, including age, wear and tear, or faulty components. When one or more drives in a RAID array fail, it can cause data loss and data corruption. In some cases, the entire array may need to be rebuilt from scratch.
ASG has extensive experience in recovering data from failed RAID arrays. In most cases, we are able to recover all of the data from a failed RAID array and return it to our clients in its original condition.

Case Study: ASG Recover Data From A Failed RAID Array
ASG recently had the opportunity to work on a particularly challenging case involving data recovery from a failed RAID array. Our team was able to successfully recover all of the data from the array and return it to the client in a usable format.
This particular case was unique in that the RAID array had failed due to a physical issue with one of the drives. This meant that simply rebuilding the array would not be enough to recover the data. Instead, our team had to use special software to extract the data from the damaged drive and then rebuild the RAID array using this recovered data.
The entire process took several days to complete, but in the end we were able to successfully return all of the data to the client. This was a great win for ASG and our team is proud to have been able to help out in this difficult situation.
Conclusion
We are pleased to announce that ASG has successfully recovered data from a failed RAID array. This is a significant accomplishment as it demonstrates our commitment to providing the highest level of data recovery services possible. We want to thank our customers for their patience and support during this difficult time.
